Annie Gibbs
Ingredients:
4 quart cucumbers, sliced 1/2 inch thick
3 onions, sliced thin
10 Tbsp. sugar (Double this amount if liked sweeter. Ms. Annie uses 20 Tbsp. (1 and 2/3 cup) and heaping.
2 Tbsp. salt
1 quart vinegar
1 Tbsp. spices (mixed spices)
Directions:
Fix cucumbers, then fix vinegar mixture and pour over cucumbers. Put on medium heat. When cucumbers turn a little brown, start putting in jars. Then, bring vinegar to hard boil and pour over pickles to seal canning jars.
