Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 and 1/2 sticks margarine, softened to room temperature
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cups buttermilk
1 and 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 cups self-rising flour
Directions:
Beat sugar and margarine. Add eggs. Beat. Alternate cut of flour and buttermilk while mixing. Add vanilla last. Place about 1-1and 1/2 large serving spoons of batter in cake pan and cook until edges begin to brown (5 minutes or less).
8" pan = 12-13 layers
9" pan = 9-10 layers
