Frances Gibbs
Ingredients:
3 cups sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa
pinch of salt
1 and 1/2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
1 and 1/4 cup milk
Directions:
Mix and cook until mixture forms soft ball in cold water. Add 3/4 stick of butter and 1 tsp. vanilla. Allow to cool until you can put your hand on bottom of pot (almost cold). Add 1 cup of chopped nuts and beat until thick enough to drop or pour. Do not beat after mixture starts boiling.
